ITINERARY FOR STUDENTS APPLYING FOR ENROLLMENT Thank you for your interest in Young Americans Christian School for your child’s Christian education. Our desire is to make Christian education an exciting and fulfilling experience for your child. Young Americans Christian School seeks to provide an environment that will promote sound spiritual and intellectual growth. The following is provided to properly inform you of the application process: On Tuesday, January 12, 2010, the school will begin accepting applications for enrollment for the 2010-2011 school year. Refer to the Admissions Policy Page for the requirements needed for admission to Young Americans Christian School. The application, and an application fee of $50.00, (non-refundable) must be completed in order for the application to be processed for consideration. Placement is competitive based on academics, discipline, and conduct records. Upon completion of the Request for Records form, Young Americans will fax the request to the student’s current school. The returned records will be attached to the application for review and further consideration. In February currently enrolled families will be given the opportunity to re-enroll. Current Young Americans family siblings will have priority for openings. Beginning in March the school administration will begin reviewing applications and attached records (grades, standardized test scores, and conduct records). Testing will be required for all students (1st – 12th grade) being considered for enrollment. Parents will be contacted to make arrangements for testing dates and times. You will be notified by phone or letter, as soon as possible, as to the status of your child’s application for enrollment. If your child is placed into a class, the registration fee will then be due. The Matriculation Fee will be due in May.
Mission Statement Young Americans Christian School is a college preparatory school working hand in hand with the family to raise up students who will be academically successful and will grow to be a light in the world for Christ. |
