Band

The Young Americans Christian School Band offers students a comprehensive musical experience. Students recieve a quality music education along with numerous performance opportunities. The Young Americans Band has approximately 30 students in grades 7-12 with another 30 members in 5th and 6th grade. Students begin their musical journey playing recorders in the 4th grade. Ensembles include:

Concert Band - Grades 7-12

Elementary Band - Grades 5-6

Recorder Ensemble - Grade 4

Football Pep Band (aka Guerilla Band) - Plays at all home football games, in the stands, on the sidelines, and occasionally under the stands... you never know.

Jazz Ensemble - A new group at YACS, we are focused on learning the fundamentals of Jazz as America's music, big band style playing, and improvisation techniques.

The band program at YACS is under the direction of Bill Nicol.
